Hypnotherapy description...

Hypnosis is used to access the area of your mind that you’re not conscious of – the subconscious part of your mind. Along the journey of life we ‘pick up, inherit – stuff‘ (we model those around us, get highly influenced & programmed by those around us when growing up) – we may take on some of their good and bad habits – beliefs – strategies, etc of others. 

This can workout as either positive or negative depending what happened and usually plays out as in our behaviours – actions/non actions – reactions etc and most of the time we don’t understand why…  (because its sub or un-conscious)

The positive stuff serves us but the negative stuff may raise it’s ‘ugly head’ and show up in our negative behaviours – beliefs – emotions, (fear, anger) etc, this can inhibit an individual from reaching there full potential or going further in their career, relationship, business, sports, etc.

The hypnosis session

The session will begin by going over what you want to achieve & some history with your hypnotherapist and some coaching will occur.

  1. You will then be gently guided into a level of trance by your hypnotherapist – once deep enough the therapist will begin using hypnotic language and suggestions with you as your sub conscious mind becomes engaged and will begin working towards your outcome…
  2. Throughout your Hypnosis Sessions you’re hypnotherapist will guide you through any issues you may be having, creating a new level of awareness and understanding at the sub conscious level whilst gaining confidence and eliminating any past fears that may associate and maybe hindering any actions to move forward freely. 
  3. During your hypnosis session you will more likely feel a little sleepy but you will NEVER lose consciousness and will ALWAYS be in control of your state, of which you can end the session at anytime.

What is hypnosis?

There are several descriptions of Hypnosis – here are a few:

  • A heightened state of awareness 
  • A focused state of attention 
  • A natural state of awareness 
  • An altered state of consciousness

Whatever description we use there is one thing certain – and that is – hypnosis is a natural state and has been used for thousands of year, many years before modern medicine was thought of.

The amazing power of the sub conscious mind – is literally unlimited and full of potentiality – the only thing that STOPS us from achieving what we want is old (negative) programming which is stored at the subconscious level.

The reverse is also true with positive programming. Using hypnotherapy with a professional will enable you to remove old programming, create healthy new habits, beliefs, strategies, emotions, etc

Hypnotherapy or hypnosis

You maybe asking what’s the difference between Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy.

  1. Hypnosis – is a state (a state of mind, like happiness, joy, excited, sleepy, etc)
  2. Hypnotherapy – is therapy used in ‘The State’ of hypnosis. 

– The medical board definition being: ‘…bypassing the critical factor to establish acceptable thinking.’ (accessing the sub conscious mind)

Hypnosis has been recognised by both the USA & UK medical boards since the 1950’s and Australia a little later. Hope that clears up any confusion…
